However, with the new Smart 2 tachograph, the driver will need to activate Ferry/Train condition when starting the rest period on the Ferry/Train according to the picture below.
To activate the Ferry/Train condition:
An active Ferry/Train condition will automatically end when the driver card is withdrawn.
However, for latest issued driver cards (1C and Smart 2), in a Smart Tachograph, it is possible to end an ongoing Ferry/Train condition. E.g. if your daily rest is fulfilled during the journey and you do not want to continue with more rest, it is possible to end the Ferry/Train condition before disembark.
